(Redirected from Workbench)

The Workshop lets you craft gear, weapons, items, and consumables. You start with the workbench, a free basic bench which enables you to craft basic weapons and most types of ammo, and Scrappy, the rooster which passively generates basic materials as you explore Topside.

Each workshop station requires different materials to build and upgrade (up to level 3) and unlocks more items which can be crafted. Certain items will need to be unlocked by learning their blueprint alongside a specific workbench level to be crafted.

Stations

Scrappy

This rooster has been a resident of the workshop since the day you moved in, and likely long before that. Will periodically bring back dubiously-sourced materials and share them with you.

Scrappy brings you Metal Parts, Fabric, Plastic Parts, Chemicals, Rubber Parts, and Assorted Seeds.

The table below shows the rewards given to a Raider by Scrappy based on his level, the minimum amount of time a Raider spent in the round, and if the Raider extracted successfully or not.

  • A player will need to spend at least 1 minute in a round to receive anything.
    • Surrendering 5 seconds into a round will not net a Raider anything.
  • The maximum time based amount a Raider can receive is anything over 15 minutes in a round.
    • Spending 15 minutes or 40 minutes will net a Raider the same amount of rewards.
  • The time is the time a Raider spends in the round and not how long the round has been going.
    • If a Raider spawns into a round at 18 minutes remaining and extracts at 11 minutes remaining in the round, a Raider will gain the resources for being in the round for >6 minutes, and not >15 minutes.

NOTE: Scrappy will only collect resources for 5 rounds before he is full and a Raider will need to collect resources from him for him to gather anymore.

Values in the table below are base values. If you took the Expedition, your rewards will sometimes be higher. See the Expedition section below for more information.

Note: There are two values in the table that may seem incorrect as they don't follow the same pattern as the others. Those two values are 'Level 4 >1 Minute Not Extracted' and 'Level 4 >6 Minutes Extracted'. They are accurate as of Update 1.31.0.

Blueprints

Main article: Blueprints

Blueprints are essential items used to unlock advanced crafting recipes for weapons, gear, and gadgets at the Workshop.

They are primarily scavenged from loot containers, though some are awarded through quests and trials. A Raider must successfully extract with it in order to learn the blueprint.

A previously learned blueprint will have a tick in the top-right corner of its icon, becoming easily distinguishable from unlearned ones.
