Due to the high density of cars and buses, the Checkpoint and Warehouse zones in The Blue Gate is one of the most consistent places to find gears. However, because of the equally high amount of player traffic and ARC presence, it is advised to have upgraded breaching and items to get out of an area quickly, like Adrenaline, Zip Lines, and Smoke Grenades.

A few examples of other areas where Rusted Gears are likely to spawn include:

• Scrap Yard, Hydroponic Dome/Power Generation Complexes, and Water Treatment Control zones on Dam Battlegrounds
• Rocket Assembly and Vehicle Maintenance on Spaceport
• Parking Garage and Warehouse on Buried City

There are many areas of every map where Rusted Gears can spawn from, so the key is to check any area with source containers that you can thoroughly.

These items are a very rare spawn despite their Rare rating, so it may be a good idea to bring a non-free augment or even no augment at all to have a Safe Pocket to keep the gear in the event of knockout.
