Weapons, or guns, are projectile- or energy-based implements that are used to inflict damage, destroy, or cause harm. They are primarily used by Raiders to attack ARC or other Raiders.

Each weapon is organized into a class (e.g. assault rifle, shotgun) that characterizes its handling and shooting capabilities, and is loaded with a single type of ammo that dictates how well it penetrates ARC armor.

Upgrades

Most weapons can be upgraded, or leveled up, at the Gunsmith to permanently grant them additive bonuses that improve how well they handle. Weapons cannot be upgraded more than four times, indicated by the numerals I, II, III, and IV.

Weapons with the Legendary rarity cannot be upgraded.

Weapon Mods

Weapon mods, also known as modifications or attachments, are items that are used to adjust weapon properties. Each weapon has a limited number of special slots that can accept mods. Unlike upgrades, weapon mods can be freely removed.

It's recommended for Raiders to try different weapon mods in the Practice Range to learn what combinations work best.
