The Snap Hook is a Legendary Gadget that can be used to grapple to higher ground for faster traversal as well as to practicе controlled descent.

The Snap Hook can be used to access places that Raiders normally could not access with ease, along with allowing for more complex movement for evading or engaging both Raiders and ARC. An example could be using the Snap Hook to grapple on top of large "boss" ARC such as the Queen or Matriarch, allowing for direct access to the shield protecting their hull on top, grappling on top of flying ARC such as Vaporizers or Rocketeers, or using the Snap Hook to quickly pull and throw light ARC, examples being the Pop.

It can also be used to negate fall damage, similar to a Zipline but in a more complex format. When in free fall from a high place, such as Launch Towers in Spaceport, it is possible to use the Snap Hook on a wall while falling mid-way to avoid fall damage, slowing down your fall to take less damage or stopping you just above where you wanted to go. It's a good way to get out of situations without majorly risking your life.
