Celeste was part of a small group that first moved into what was to become Speranza. Steady and reliable, people increasingly turned towards her for guidance and mediation, turning her into a pillar of the fast-growing community.
Overpopulation, political strife, and resource shortages soon became her daily reality. Worst of all, in the absence of ARC, her fellow Raiders began turning on each other.
These days, she often clashes with leaders from other Toledo neighborhoods and faces pushback from several civilian petitioners who have their own ideas about how Speranza should be governed.
Despite it all, Celeste still holds out hope that Raiders can once again unite under a single banner in the fight against ARC, though there are few left that share her dream.
The First Wave
Celeste was nine years old when the First Wave hit. Left without a home, she soon found her place among a group of Raiders who refused to give up the fight against ARC.
Though she lost many friends along the way, Celeste persevered and, as a teenager, took part in the legendary Battle of Victory Ridge. It was there that the last pocket of ARC was finally defeated, bringing the First Wave to an end.
Battle-hardened and a firm believer that impossible odds can be overcome through sheer determination, Celeste shifted her focus from fighting to building. Speranza quickly became her main focus, but with rapid growth came inevitable challenges.
