Colorful and lively, Speranza is the oldest neighborhood of the underground city of Toledo.
It was originally established as an independent settlement at the start of the Second Wave, when ARC’s return forced settlers underground. Built into subterranean infrastructure and buildings swallowed by sinkholes, it offers a mostly-safe refuge from Topside’s many dangers.
Over the years, as more survivors arrived from the Rust Belt and beyond, the original settlement expanded into the buried remnants of an ancient city, forming the secluded, patchwork neighborhoods of Toledo.
