A technical mastermind with a cut-throat personality, Tian Wen conducts most of her business from behind a bulletproof door, hidden away in a dark alley off the Piazza.
Her mastery in crafting high-quality firearms has earned fame in Speranza and beyond. Rumor has it she doesn’t think too highly of Raiders, yet her trade makes dealing with them an unavoidable reality.
In addition to running her storefront in Speranza, Tian Wen maintains a quiet influence over Toledo's black market, where many of her more experimental weapons curiously find their way.
Given how many Raiders rely on her supplies for their safety, it's possible that Shani chooses to overlook these more dubious dealings, at least for now.
The First Wave
Tian Wen was only a girl during the First Wave of ARC attacks. Her mother, Major Aiva, was a legendary Raider commander who led countless skirmishes in those early battles. When Aiva fell at the Battle of Victory Ridge, Tian Wen was left devastated and alone.
The unforgiving years that followed taught her a harsh truth: the legacy of a celebrated parent won't keep you fed, and it doesn't take long for the next generation to forget who fought for their safety. That bitter lesson became the foundation of her enduring disdain for Raiders.
