The Matriarch is an imposing ARC machine that makes the Queen look friendly and can be found during a specific map condition.
Attack
- Rockets - The Matriarch fires a number of explosive homing rockets.
- Gas Mortars - The Matriarch fires a number of gas mortars that explode into stamina draining gas clouds on impact.
- Energy Shield - The Matriarch deploys an energy shield that absorbs incoming projectiles and cannot be destroyed but can be passed through by Raiders.
- Flashbangs - The Matriarch fires a number of flashbangs that explode after a delay, blinding and deafening Raiders.
- Summons - The Matriarch can call in other ARC including Fireballs, Wasps, Leapers, Bastions, Bombardiers and Rocketeers.

Combat tips
High Ground/Cover
- If her children are unable to protect her the fight becomes trivial, examples of good spots:
- Spaceport - Control Tower A6 and The Launch towers
- Dam Battleground - The ledges and "tunnels" at The Breach
- Blue Gate - On top of reinforced reception with deployable barricades
Weak Points
- Don't target the legs, target her face plates until they break off, then her big red glowing core will be exposed
Attack Pattern
- Only attack that really hurts is her rocket barrage, the rest you can brush off relatively fine.
- When her energy shield comes up hold fire till it falls, or if you fancy your chances, slip inside the shield and take shots at her now-exposed core
