Covered in thick plating, the Bastion is a fortress on legs. While it may be slow, it absolutely dominates wherever it patrols with heavy gatling-gun fire; turning anyone who gets in its way into Swiss cheese.

Based on Raider observations of its behavior, the Bastion is believed to be deployed where ARC detects potential resource deposits worth defending at all costs.

Attack

It emits a loud screech before unloading its gatling-gun for 3 seconds at the last seen position of any Raiders.

Combat tips

Bastions have yellow kneecaps on all of their leg joints and a yellow cylinder on their rear that Raiders can shoot to deal critical damage. Shooting these areas is the fastest way to destroy it. Destroying its rear canister or any of the leg joints stuns it for a short time, making this stun window a good time to shoot it. Destroying the canister also peels back its rear plate, revealing its true weak spot, a large barrel-like part that, when shot, deals major damage to the Bastion. Blaze Grenades and, to a lesser extent, Snap Blast Grenades are also an effective way of dealing damage. Deadline can also instantly defeat a Bastion when deployed near the canister.

Attacks can be avoided by

• Moving behind cover
• Staying out of line of sight when it is alerted
• Hiding in buildings or thick foliage

Loot

The Bastion Cell is a unique item that is found by salvaging a destroyed Bastion. It is used to upgrade the Gear Bench.
