The Leaper is an agile, four-legged brute, often found stomping around open areas. This ARC is equipped with a powerful shockwave pulse that hits anyone nearby, and can leap at Raiders across astonishing distances. Historically, most Raiders have learned to avoid it altogether.
Leapers are commonly found in high-risk areas, guarding valuable objectives or patrolling alongside smaller, quicker enemies, thus creating layered threats that can be hard to deal with.
Attack
As their name might suggest, the primary way Leapers attack is by quickly leaping at Raiders in an attempt to crush them, dealing heavy damage even if the Leaper did not land directly on top of a Raider. The Leaper is very accurate, and is known to crush Raiders even when they were sprinting away at full speed.
Combat Tips
Blaze Grenades are a cheap and easy method of dealing with Leapers. Throw one grenade directly onto the Leaper and wait for it to burn out. Once the burn stops, throw another. Afterward, the Leaper can be finished with one or two shots from a Heavy Ammo weapon.
Loot
The Leaper Pulse Unit is a unique item dropped by the Leaper that's used to upgrade the Utility Station.
