Situated in the fetid swamp by the Alcantara Dam, the hydroponic domes are both more makeshift and more recent than most other structures in the area. It is said to have been built during the era of Sunrise; an optimistic experiment to turn society less reliant on gathered roots, mushrooms and berries.
Unfortunately, its roof seems to have been shattered in multiple places, exposing any crops within to devastating cold snaps—and these days, a diverse selection of wandering ARC machines.
Notes found in the domes' data archives revealed that during the era of Sunrise, a group of cultivation researchers built the site in an attempt to develop a new, more resilient strain of wheat. Unfortunately, the experiment was halted after a devastating hailstorm caused the fragile seedlings to wither.
