The ARC Probe is an unarmed ARC machine with a powerful thruster system. It regularly come down from orbit to collect air and soil samples.
When a Raider attempts to breach their exterior plating, the Probe begins emitting loud beeping sounds to signal nearby ARC its distress. Once the breach is complete, the Probe powers down and three different panels open to loot. Sometimes ARC Probes can be found as crashed ARC Probes, they can still be breached, but only one panel will open.

Known across The Rust Belt for their ear-piercing signals, the Probes are sent down on a regular basis, collecting samples and data from the soil before returning back to orbit.
While it is unknown which specific resources ARC is probing for, most pray that whatever it is can't be found in The Rust Belt.
