"As every experienced Raider knows, the abandoned wilderness of the Rust Belt is vast and unforgiving. Missions Topside are necessary, but even the tireless Raider needs a place to lay their bruised head - and all their souvenirs - after a long day of gunning down ARC. Enter, the Raider Den. Shani will be kind enough to lend you a cozy bedroom to call your own. Well, “cozy” might be stretching it. “Bedroom,” too. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by a metal cot, peeling decorations, and a door frame with a notable lack of door. But hey, it’s better than living Topside!"

Accessed from Speranza in the RAIDER tab, the Raider Den is where you access your Skill Tree, Raider Customization, Trials, Projects, and Codex.

Progress

"Fortunately, you won’t have to live in squalor forever. As you progress through ARC Raiders, your Den will progress with you. As players ourselves, we know how rewarding it is for you to visually see the progress your Raider is making, and the loot they’re accumulating, so our intention with the Den is to do just that. Trinkets you find Topside will litter the floors and the shelves of your den. Your best guns will be proudly displayed on the walls."

The Raider Den levels up alongside your stash, improving the furniture and decorations in the room.

Level 1 Raider Den

The Raider Den starts with:

  • A steel frame bed without a mattress or pillow, and a small blanket
  • Coat hooks
  • A small machine next to the cupboard and globe
  • A dumbbell on a rag on the floor

Level 2 Raider Den

Expanding your stash size for the first time will:

  • Upgrades the bed with a better frame, a mattress, a pillow, and a bigger blanket
  • Changes the rag under the dumbbell to a carpet

Level 4 Raider Den

Expanding your stash size for the third time:

  • Upgrades the coat hooks to a steel frame with coat hangers
  • Upgrades the machine next to the globe and cabinet
  • Upgrades the shelf to fit more items
  • Adds a picture on the shelf

Level 7 Raider Den

Expanding your stash size for the sixth time:

  • Upgrades the bed with a better frame, a thicker mattress, an additional pillow, and a bigger blanket
  • Upgrades the coat hangers to a small wardrobe with a speaker on top
  • Upgrades the machine next to the globe and cabinet
  • Removes the picture on the shelf
  • Upgrades the shelf with a second set and adds more space for items
  • Adds a lamp on the shelf

Level 10 Raider Den

Expanding your stash size for the ninth and final time:

  • Upgrades the bed with a better frame, higher quality mattress, and a new blanket
  • Upgrades the wardrobe, and replaces the speaker with a potted plant
  • Upgrades the machine next to the globe and cabinet
  • Upgrades the shelf with a third set, a frame, string lights, and more space for items

Gun Shelf

GIF of the gun shelf level progression in a level 10 Raider Den

After installing the Gunsmith in the Workshop, a simple gun shelf will appear in your Raider Den. Upgrading the Gunsmith will upgrade the shelf as well.

The gun shelf will display your most valuable guns, including upgraded guns, and guns with attachments. The guns are added from top to bottom, and the most valuable guns will be at the top.

The level 1 gun shelf can hold three guns, and the level 2 and 3 gun shelves can hold four.

Decorations

"The Raider Den screen will be a living representation of your progress. Your highest-value items will be proudly displayed on your shelves. (Even if the most valuable thing you own at the moment is fifteen rubber ducks.) Think of the Den as a bird’s nest for all your trinkets, old world oddities, guns, and fancy weapon attachments."

Some items in your stash will be put on display in your Raider Den. Which items are displayed is based on the item's value. For items with the same value, the ones that are first in your unsorted stash will take priority.

Rubber Ducks

Image from the Update 1.3.0 patch notes

After Update 1.3.0 and its change "Your Raider Den has been ducked out", Rubber Ducks in your stash will be displayed all over your Raider Den, far exceeding the normal limit of the shelf.

The ducks are not added on a 1:1 ratio, and having any ducks on your shelf will increase the amount needed before they start showing up elsewhere by 15.

The following videos showcase how ducks are added with an empty shelf:

Bugs

  • Items in extra stash slots gained from doing expeditions will not display in the Raider Den. These slots will be the bottom ones in the unsorted stash.
