Managing Loadout
When selecting a map, you will be given the option to choose your loadout type from either a custom loadout or a free loadout.
Custom Loadout
Selecting a custom loadout enables you to select the equipment you bring Topside, from the items you've stored in your stash. It provides the player with the ability to better equip themselves to deal with the challenges and situations they'll experience Topside. Allowing players to cater their equipment to their objectives for each round.
Free Loadout
Free loadouts are basic sets of second-hand gear scrapped together from the leftover gear down in Speranza. You will receive a combination of low-tier gear and some utility items. When selecting a free loadout, items in your custom loadout will be moved back to your stash. Free loadouts give you a basic random kit containing a combination of a Weapon, Light Shield, Ammo for that weapon, Meds and Utility/Gadgets for no charge. Every time you go Topside with a free loadout, you will be equipped with a Free Loadout Augment.
The Free Loadout Augment is an Augment providing the basics for scavenging Topside. When equipped, it gives the player 14 inventory slots, 4 Quick Use Slots, 2 Weapon Slots and removes your Safe Pocket Slot. With only Light Shield compatibility and a Max Loadout Weight of only 35.0.
