	A festival of resilient warmth, centered around the hardy candleberry bush.
	Speranzans have been known to host local celebrations, and being competitive, they seek to outdo each other at every turn. Some have managed to turn the homely candleberry bush into a banquet worthy of even the most discerning gourmands.

Flickering Flames was a temporary Project that ran for 28 days, from 16 December, 2025 to 13 January, 2026.

The project featured 5 stages themed around preparing a winter banquet, where various resources were committed and could not be retrieved. Up to 4 rewards per stage could be claimed throughout the project, with an additional 4 claimable rewards upon completion of all stages. The rewards included Items, Merit, Raider Tokens, and a cosmetic Backpack Charm.

#Gathering Candleberries was the associated live event and rewards track, where an additional 25 rewards (mostly cosmetics) were automatically claimed upon obtaining enough Merit.

Stages

The namesake use for the candleberry, Speranzans boil the fruit into a thick wax that burns cleanly and fragrantly.

Crafty Speranzans have turned the candleberries into a wealth of gifts. These include perfumes and soaps, as well as gifts unrelated to the recipients odors.

Candleberries can be crushed into refreshing juices, while the leaves and roots make for a tea that can drive out the toughest of colds.

Gathering Candleberries

As fierce snowfalls cover Topside in a frigid blanket, the inhabitants of Speranza gather together to salvage whatever warmth and community they can. The candleberry bush forms the centerpiece of these festivities, with Speranzans fashioning the hardy plant into a surprisingly lavish banquet. During the event, the Cold Snap map condition will allow you to gather rare Candleberries, which can be used to prepare your own Candleberry Banquet. However, the risk of frostbite means going topside is even more dangerous than usual.

Gathering Candleberries was the Live Event and reward track associated with Flickering Flames.

Players could earn up to 25 rewards from the reward track by obtaining enough Merit. Merit could be acquired by earning experience points earned on any map (at a ratio of 1 Merit per 100 experience points), or by committing specific resources into the Flickering Flames Project's stages.
