Flickering Flames is a temporary Project that runs for 28 days, from 16 December, 2025 to 13 January, 2026.
The project features 5 stages themed around preparing a winter banquet, where various resources are committed and cannot be retrieved. Up to 4 rewards per stage can be claimed throughout the project, with an additional 4 claimable rewards upon completion of all stages. The rewards include Items, Merit, Raider Tokens, and a cosmetic Backpack Charm.
#Gathering Candleberries is the associated live event and rewards track, where an additional 25 rewards (mostly cosmetics) are automatically claimed upon obtaining enough Merit.
The namesake use for the candleberry, Speranzans boil the fruit into a thick wax that burns cleanly and fragrantly.

As fierce snowfalls cover Topside in a frigid blanket, the inhabitants of Speranza gather together to salvage whatever warmth and community they can. The candleberry bush forms the centerpiece of these festivities, with Speranzans fashioning the hardy plant into a surprisingly lavish banquet. During the event, the Cold Snap map condition will allow you to gather rare Candleberries, which can be used to prepare your own Candleberry Banquet. However, the risk of frostbite means going topside is even more dangerous than usual.
Gathering Candleberries is the Live Event and reward track associated with Flickering Flames.
Players can earn up to 25 rewards from the reward track by obtaining enough Merit. Merit can be acquired by earning experience points earned on any map (at a ratio of 1 Merit per 100 experience points), or by committing specific resources into the Flickering Flames Project's stages.
