::: Sure possible, but I suppose if we were to start touching all the tables, moving them into a template (or multiple...) would be more efficient to allow additional changes to the layout. Only looking at weapons, there would be at least templates for the crafting recipe, the upgrade path, repair costs, recycling & salvage (possibly combined as per below discussions). There's even many more templates required for all the other entities (Loot, Scavenging, Quests, ...). Do you know if someone is working on these templates already?

Mod/Attachment Section

Are we able to get a section dedicated to just mods? That way I can port over all the crafting recipes and stats we have for all of them.

Thanks! Redstone Gamer 1 (talk) 13:58, 26 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Table layouts

This topic is about any table layout in weapons and equipments pages. Using '+' between every element of every craft/recycling seems uselessly overbearing. I'm pretty sure anybody would understand if we just keep one element per line without delimiter, the "and" being implicit. Or maybe we could put the '+' or a ',' at the end of each line to keep it explicit and divide the tables heights by 2. Also, the 'Or' could be replaced by a '/' at the end of each line. I agree. How about also dropping the font-weight to bold in headlines only and left-aligning the ingredients? Just compare these two:
Repair Cost Durability
Renegade I 1x Advanced Mechanical Components
+
1x Medium Gun Parts
+50
Renegade II 2x Advanced Mechanical Components
+
1x Medium Gun Parts
+55
Renegade III 2x Advanced Mechanical Components
+
3x Medium Gun Parts
+50
Renegade IV 3x Advanced Mechanical Components
+
3x Medium Gun Parts
+50

If you guys want to go through and kindly remove all the +<br> since we don't want to mass remove them in case we break something else that'd be great! (feel free to do it to all the pages from Loot or equipment as well, not just for the weapons.)
Great suggestion! Redstone Gamer 1 (talk) 00:32, 6 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Sure possible, but I suppose if we were to start touching all the tables, moving them into a template (or multiple...) would be more efficient to allow additional changes to the layout.
Additionally, the wiki should probably rather earlier than later get some extension installed to allow storage of semantic data (like Semantic MediaWiki or Cargo), that would be beneficial to allow auto-generating lists from existing data to prevent inconsistencies (which are already appearing everywhere). --Ni (talk) 20:49, 6 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
we're implementing cargo soon, I'm currently doing all the formatting for non-infobox templates. Feel free to share ideas in the new wiki channel in the official discord.
most of the inconsistencies that have popped up are old data from TT2 that needs to be expunged (or people putting in the wrong data and me failing to catch it). Redstone Gamer 1 (talk) 21:03, 6 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
If you want to, you can create a template for recycling & salvage. I will do it if no one else does, just a bit busy with other things at the current moment. Luke (talk) 11:06, 7 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

combining recycle and salvage tables

I just think it would be a good idea to combine each item's recycle and salvage recipe into a single table. this could be done pretty easy by just adding another column. MarSea (talk) 17:55, 5 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Good idea, will be good to also do the change for all items as well.
Just deciding on doing a template for it so we can edit styles and change layout of table in the future without having to go through 100s of pages. Also, might make use of structured data in terms of recycling/salvaging materials but that's a future thing. Luke (talk) 19:01, 5 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
cool! just lmk whenever the template is finalized so we can start updating. MarSea (talk) 16:19, 6 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
